Alpha Pro Muscle Ingredients
The main ingredients in Alpha Pro Muscle are not as effective as the name might suggest.
This is supplement appears to be more focused on improving blood flow and muscle pumps rather than testosterone and muscle mass.
Some of the ingredients aren’t that effective, where others could be easily replaced for more sensible options.
Below, we look at the main ingredients along with our suggestions on how it could be improved:
This isn’t the best start to our Alpha Pro Muscle review. Mainly because L-Arginine doesn’t do much to raise testosterone or muscle mass.
So, what can it do?
Research shows that L-Arginine can help improve your blood flow and muscle pumps. This can make your sessions in the gym more enjoyable and improve your endurance.
However, studies show that L-Arginine isn’t easily absorbed by our bodies when supplemented directly. Ideally, you should be using a precursor to L-Arginine so it can easily absorb it and convert into L-Arginine after the fact.
L-Citrulline would be a good candidate for this. It’s a shame it’s not in here.
This is a similar form of L-Arginine which is focuses more on muscle pumps.
Also known as arginine-alpha-ketoglutarate, A-AKG can help increase blood flow in Alpha Pro Muscle and is much more easily absorbed.
It’s a better choice to have in this muscle builder in comparison to the straight L-Arginine, but it still won’t raise your testosterone levels of improve muscle mass. A-AKG will help more with endurance in the gym.
A.k.a. Alpha-Ketoglutarate. GKG is an amino acid in Alpha Pro Muscle which has been seen to help reduce the overall breakdown of muscle mass after a workout.
This can help improve your recovery rate to some extent and aid in speeding your progress by increasing muscle restoration.
Again though, we have to acknowledge that this does not help in boosting testosterone levels, which is one of the major claims made about this supplement online.
- Saw Palmetto
This is another nutrient which serves some purpose for male health – but doesn’t actually help testosterone in Alpha Pro Muscle.
Saw Palmetto is a supplement which has been seen in various studies to help promote your general prostate health by regulating the organ.
It can help with symptoms of hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). Although not as effective as actual medicine, Saw Palmetto can help towards reducing the symptoms to some extent.
Again, this is a nice touch – but none of this raises testosterone levels with Alpha Pro Muscle.
- Horny Goat Weed
The final ingredient we’re covering in Alpha Pro Muscle. Horny Goat Weed – also known as Epidmedium, is claimed by some supplement companies to help raise testosterone levels.
This is not the case. The only thing Horny Goat Weed does for male health is support libido.
You’re not going to get any testosterone benefits from supplementing horny goat weed.
What could help improve Alpha Pro Muscle reviews?
The main issue is that there are no testosterone boosters in this supplement.
There are several natural and effective options which would greatly improve this product.
Here’s our list of the best for this supplement:
- D-Aspartic Acid
- Mucuna Pruriens
Both Zinc and DAA are used for chemical reactions in your brain which increase your overall levels of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH). LH is your precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone, the more of it you have in your system the more support your testosterone levels have to grow.
Mucnua Pruriens (a.k.a. Velvet Bean) also help in a similar way. Your body uses them to create gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) which is your body’s precursor for LH. Again, this sets you up to improve your overall testosterone and growth hormone levels.
Magnesium would help Alpha Pro Muscle a lot too. It’s a mineral that supports free testosterone. Magnesium inhibits a protein in your blood known as Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) which binds to testosterone and removes all anabolic potency. Magnesium stops this from happening where it can, and helps give you more available free testosterone overall.
All these would help testosterone levels and would be easy to add into Alpha Pro Muscle.
Alpha Pro Muscle Side Effects
Alpha Pro Muscle is safe to use. All the ingredients in this supplement are natural, and don’t have links to causing side effects unless used in huge dosages.
E.g. Arginine can cause diarrhea in large amounts. That shouldn’t be the case here.
If you have any concerns about Alpha Pro Muscle you should speak to your doctor before using it. You definitely should if you have any allergies or preexisting conditions.
As you can see, there are numerous improvements that could be made to the ingredients in Alpha Pro Muscle.
There are clear weak points in this testosterone booster such as ineffective ingredients and missing several core nutrients to improve testosterone.
There are plenty of better options out there on the market that you should consider before this one.
