Mental Hamster A5
Mental Hamster A5 (also known as Alpha A5) is a capsule-based fat burner.
It was originally from a company known as Alpha Training but they seem to have rebranded over to Mental Hamster.
It contains all natural ingredients and Alpha A5 is commonly more popular in the UK as it is a UK-based supplement.
Mental Hamster Review
This is a side-note about the website itself.
We thought we should include just for complete transparency. When visiting Mental Hamster’s homepage, our virus scanner detected that the Shoptimized service that Mental Hamster A5 uses may be linked to Phishing – which means they be known for using your data illegally.
We tested this several times on different browsers and kept getting the same warning.
We don’t think Mental Hamster are doing this intentionally – but the fact our virus scanner noticed the tool they’re using (Shoptimized) as a threat is something that you should be concerned about.
Be careful when ordering from their site.
How To Take Alpha A5
With Alpha A5, you’re recommended to only take one serving a day.
Take 1 capsule of Alpha A5 in the morning before a meal.
If you’re training that day, take 2 capsules half an hour before exercising.
Alpha A5 Fat Burners Ingredients
There are only four ingredients in Alpha A5 by Mental Hamster. Some are good and effective for fat loss – others seem slightly more risky.
Below, we look at these ingredients and analyse them to see how effective they really are.
Take a look:
- Caffeine Anhydrous (175mg)
This is arguably one of the best natural stimulants you can get in a supplement, and a good addition to Alpha A5.
Caffeine is great for increasing your overall energy levels, but it can also help in you in other ways.
Studies show that supplementing Caffeine is good for improving your energy, metabolism, focus and even power output. This makes it useful for getting better results in the gym as well as round your wasitline.
- Green Coffee Blend (150mg)
This is another good choice in our Alpha A5 review. Green Coffee Bean is a nutrient which has been seen to help promote you overall fat burning by how it affects the glucose in your liver.
Your body uses this glucose for energy, but the Green Coffee Bean reduces the overall amount.
The result is that your body has less of this energy resource and therefore must burn another – in this case your stored fat.
It’s good for encouraging your body to burn more fat throughout the day.
- Bitter Orange Powder (125mg)
This is where the fat burner starts to take a turn for the worse.
Bitter Orange (also known as Citrus Aurantium) is not a good option in out Alpha A5 review.
The main benefits it has claims to have are boosting fat loss and energy levels. However, we’re not so sure about it.
Why? Because it has links to causing side effects.
Studies show that it can cause several problems such as headaches, nausea, irregular heartrate, higher blood pressure, and higher risk of cardiac issues.
It’s not an option that we’re keen on recommending in Alpha A5.
- Paulinia Cupana / Guarana (25mg)
This is an extra little kick for the caffeine in Alpha A5. Guarana is a herb which contains general antioxidants which can promote overall health – but it also contains a good amount of caffeine.
This can help improve your overall levels of energy and focus.
- What could help improve Mental Hamster Alpha A5?
The main thing that we feel Alpha A5 are missing are more fat burners and appetite suppressants.
Green Tea and Cayenne Pepper we think would help as fat burners. GT contains an antioxidant known as catechins which promote your overall levels of the fat burning hormone norepinephrine – whereas Cayenne Pepper raises your body’s core temperature which starts a cooldown process in your system which burns more calories.
Cayenne also has links to improving appetite suppression.
Glucomannan would also help a lot with appetite suppression. It’s a fibrous complex which swells in your stomach which helps you to feel fuller for longer.
These would all help Alpha A5 significantly.
Born Alpha A5 Reviews
One of the original names of Alpha A5 was Born Alpha. Some traces of this can still be found in the back-end of their website – but some of the old labels are still there.
We’re fairly confident this is the same product prior to the rebrand.
Alpha A5 Amazon
Alpha A5 is unfortunately no longer available on Amazon’s website.
The majority seems to be sold directly from the Mental Hamster website.
There are no Amazon reviews listed for Alpha A5.
Alpha A5 Ebay
Alpha A5 is no longer available on Ebay either.
However, this may be subject to change if an individual decides to sell their supply.
As far as Mental Hamster goes – they are not selling it themselves through Ebay’s channels.
Alpha A5 and Pure Alpha
Pure Alpha is the Test Booster that accompanies Alpha A5.
We may cover this supplement in a future review – as for now we can say that it is an all natural testosterone booster which shows some promise.
Mental Hamster A5 Review
As you can see Alpha A5 does have some good ingredients but there are some issues with some aspects of it, along with Mental Hamster themselves.
It contains Bitter Orange extract, which has some links to causing side effects, and appears to be missing a few effective ingredients.
Mental Hamster has gone through a lot of changes. It is no longer known as Alpha Training – and their website may still need some work due to virus scanners accusing it of data phishing.
We hope these are growing pains, and we look forward to improvements that Mental Hamster may make to Alpha A5 and the rest of their range in the future.
